re-awakening the female

Wildly Creative Women
April, 2005 Newsletter

With Spring's arrival, Wildly Creative Women is blossoming into a new fullness. In this debut newsletter, I formally welcome you to the Wildly Creative Community.

I would love to hear from you. Ask questions, tell me your story, share with me and this community your poetry, pictures, images, stories...whatever form your creativity takes. Soon there will be a page at www.wildlycreativewomen.com just for this purpose.

My hope is to illuminate your creative nature, invite your curiosity about your fullness as a woman, and re-ignite your wildness.

Where do you want to let your wild creativity loose? What are you waiting for?

With gratitude,

Julie.

Wild Creativity -- what is it and why is it Wild???

Wild Creativity is re-awakening and re-claiming your fullness as a creative being.

Wild Creativity is:

  • your internal creative essence

    infused with
  • your instincts and awareness as a passionately alive woman

    flowing freely through
  • your amazing body.

Your creativity is Wild Creativity because it is no longer caged and tamed by your internal critic or by the fear of your own judgment or others's judgment. Wildness is also about your sensual awareness and your instincts as a woman. To live in fullness is to be fully awakened in all aspects.

It is in the spirit of this fullness that I invite you to be curious about what it would be like to live fully as the woman you are.

You are your creativity and your true nature is wildly creative. Many of us are afraid of our creative nature because we know it is unpredictable and relentless in its force. We know this in a way that is beyond logic and reason.

To fear our creativity is to fear our own magnificence.

Welcome your unique creativity:

Acknowledge it...Encourage it...Nourish it...It is you.

6 ways to welcome your Wild Creativity

  1. Acknowledge and accept that you are a creative person and that your creativity is unique. Creative expression is necessary for a happy, healthy, and successful life.

  2. Realize that creativity is not about art. Creativity is how you live in and maneuver through an uncertain world where every choice you make has an effect on you and the world around you.

  3. Pay attention to it. Begin to notice your own unique creativity. Notice when you are more comfortable bringing out your creativity or when you fear the reaction you might receive from others. Don't make yourself wrong...just notice.

  4. Awaken your senses by consciously being more present in your body. Actively stimulate and enjoy each of your five senses. This is an amazing time of year to be outside, experiencing the colors, sights, smells, and sounds of Spring. Notice how deepening your sensual awareness heightens your creativity.

  5. Be curious. What is creativity? What is it to be a woman? What thrills you? Where brings you pleasure? What captivates you? If there were no rules about how you could be, how would you be?

  6. Sign up for coaching or a Wildly Creative Women course.
